When an Access database is converted to use a password, a backup (un-password protected) database is created.

You may want to search Microsoft's help for "lost Access password" or something.

But it's generally better to get the password from the person who created the password. Some "hacks" into it can cause un-repairable databases (which I've been given in attempt to fix - ended up in a tape restore).
