icon Starting & Stopping Services

I am currently using the start & stop services api posted on this site, but the only thing i seem to be able to do is query the status of the service.

i've tried to do a map drive and authenticate user (vb api) on the remote machine. but it still looks like it's not allowing me to.

I am currently the admin of my computer but not the other.
But i still know the username and password if windows requires it.

Any ideas

Thanks in advanced.

I believe you have to be an administrator on the PC you're trying to stop/start/pause services.

Yes i know, which is why i'm asking for a solution.

I can use the standard windows authentication to change to administrator instead of me when i log on to the remote machine.

hmmm...

Dear Friends
In one application developed in VB I need to invoke the windows NT
authentication box.
I have to design the application like this
When the user tries to login in that application, windows NT
authentication dialog
box has to come. The user will enter his NT User Name and password and
the
authenticatio has to be done at the NT level. If authenticated he will
enter the
application.otherwise not.
I think there will be some win32 command for invoking the Windows
Authentication
If you know about this please help me.
If you some other idea inform me that also

Regards
Anwar
