If someone can tell i want to know infomation about virus from the initilal evels to detail .
how a simple virus is made ?  what it do that it just destroys the whole system  and do we ever come up with some solutions that would make us get rid of this problem for ever
etc etc
just for learning purpose      
but the main question is how can one make a virus
and also what does an Antivirus do ?

This thing came into my mind coz last month the W32.wilchia Worm (i hope i rem the correct name) effected millions of Pc's arround the world and no one could do anything

a virus that really irritates will have access to the registry, to enter a vlaue to relaunch the application every reboot, perhaps.

another, for the deadly viruses, is to delete files in your drive, if not all info, and then try (for recent types) to resend itself to other email addresses.

There is also another type of viris called the trogen horse, it's VERY effective. It's often a program like a game or a screen saver and the game and screen saver will very often work but in the background every time the user runs the program it's busy destroying your system or messing up your registry. These viris's are probebly the most difficult for anti-viris programs to regognize as dangeorus. In fact I found the code the other day to get the windows task list in to a list on VB. I could have easily made it look for certain tasks and end them. That's the kind of code that get's put in the of trogen horses.
