How do i write data to a com port??

After waiting a while for an answer to my question i did some search on the internet and found an article that got me started on the right path.. i think    Here is the Link for those who may be looking for something similar.

However the code is in C++ .. the challenge is to put it in C# or VB.NET

I have supplied a DLL here. Written in VB.NET but the language doesn't matter. It is as close as I could make it to the MSCOMM control that came with VB6.

The language doesn't matter anyway and it can be used with any .NET language
