icon C# Builder From Borland

Hello all

Has anyone used C# builder from Boland's stable of IDEs .. is it a worthy advesary to MS Visual stuido.NET? I have been reading the reviews and they indicate so.. i wanted to hear it from someone actually using it.

Hey

Yea, I saw this too. Also Delphi.Net

I think borland is pretty good. I've not checked out
C# Builder yet though.

It seems like there might have been some controversy a while back about .net being actually born from some developers of Delphi.

Any thoughts??

I think may be true. though i can substantiate it. Especially when you look @ the workings of the superb language that is C#, obviously microsoft borrowed a lot from other languages especially Java and C++.

I'm sure they have used expertise from some delphi people

Its all true folks - The guy at Microsoft that designed C# used to work at "Another" software house before he was offered the position at Microsoft.
No prizes for guessing where he came from.

Bit late I know but the last version of Borland's .NET offering was rubbish! You use notepad to edit the files and borland just shipped a .net compiler (command-line only).
"Let's just ship the compiler and we can say it's .net enabled!" --- Borland Marketing Dept.

PS. That _was_ about 1 year ago tho!
