i just wanna create simple chat program... I bought books and downloaded many very simple program (in vb of course..). But not even single program worked... Had anyone step to this case? Can anyone tell me something?....like my computer configurations? please give me solution, please....

Can't really say too much without knowing the exact code being used. If VB itself works for other programs, then it's probably the code that you downloaded.

Although a lot of chat programs require using more than one PC to use it (due to the opened ports), although it's possible to test a chat program on only  pc with modifications.
