There are plenty of tutorials on the net. There was once greate site www.allapi.net that was dealing with API's, but it is moved to another site (I believe to mentalis). Use a google to find some API tutorials on net, just include VB keyword in search so the tutorials would be VB specific.

Dear brothers I think nor tutorials neither any other web resource can teach you better than any good book over the subject.because if someone doesn't knwo the basis of Windows Operating system then what these greatly populated sites are for?
I'd prefer the following books:
Visual Basic's Guide to Windows API by Dan Appleman.
Windows Graphics Programming by Feng Yuan.

the sencond one is in C++, so great experience over C++ is required to understand.Although I've never seen anybody covering so much details than Yuan has covered in his book over Windows GDI.But I'd prefer the 1st one for the very beginners.All the code is in VB.
