Well... that could be as simple as a one-hour program to do something like storing an address book... to a multi-year program development thing such as an entire accounting and inventory package with employee tracking.
You have to give a specific request for a problem that you're having with code before we can offer help... if you don't know how to do a database thing at all... there's probably a few hundred threads here about that subject in general.
