icon A few suggestions...

Hi all...
Just thought of a few suggestions....
Firstly, I'd like to suggest for another forum: A forum for Games and Physics stuff... (it might seem a bit too advanced though, but these Game Engines have made it sooo easy...) And I guess once ppl get to know its so easy to b writing games (wid da engines ofcourse) many of them would start considering writing their own lil games..
Secondly:
I saw that old thread over here: "Programming together" It seemed to be a very nice idea... But when i visited http://vb.duckdns.com , the domain is for sale!! Did the members ever get to make up that software? How bout trying that sort of thing again...     Maybe this time, we'd develop something, thats not there in da market already... Maybe an image editor (I don't know about any GOOD, FREE image editor, so it would do good if we made one... )

In the end:
Y not Let the Guests post their questions widout registering? ( u may add some sorta thing to stop spam messages...) Because usually, ppl just become a member, to ask ONE question, or solve ONE problem, and then they dissapear... Thats just a waste of resources, AND a useless inconvenience for the guests as well...

Thanx stuartalex!
WOW!!!! I'm surprised that there's soooo much of free software already waiting for me to d/load !!!   I just found out that there's a full fledged OFFICE SOFTWARE PACKAGE, FREE of cost! whew! Thats great...

BTW, u gave me the address of Google? Anywayz, i found out GIMP...

About my other suggestions... What do the others have to say bout it?

Here's a fresh suggestion... Members should be able to customize there forum page... Then, for instance, if i'm only interested in 'VB General', 'Internet applications', and 'API' boards, then MY Forums link should open a page containing the last 5 (or whateva) threads of these boards only...

Well... I don't visit these forums often enough to comment on your suggetions. It wouldn't affect me.

The free software you talk of is known as open source. You can download the source code to it for free. I think it was started to try and get rid of MicroSoft's monopoly. Open Office has been around a while now. It's all under a GPL.

Yes I gave you google, so you could research GIMP.
