Good day. We have recently purchased 20 "V-Line Shooter" PS2 wedge scanners and have 8 of them installed in our shop and running great (plug and play). These are all running on old to acient computers. I have run into a problem with our 2 year old Compaq computers with Celeron processors. I cannot get the scanners to read the correct information. When scanned the information is never the same even though it is the same barcode. I have tried adjusting the intercharacter delay with little success. I have also tried resoring the factory settings, downloaded drivers, updated to the latest BIOS versions and checked all of the keyboard settings. Nothing has worked. Does anyone have any advise as to what my next steps would be?

Swap those scanners with ones that do work, and see if there's still a problem, if so, then it's related to the computer or it's settings/config. If not, then the scanners just happen to be bad.

And of course, make sure they're plugged in all the way.

Thanks. Do you have any idea as to what settings may need to be adjusted? I have taken a scanner that did not work on one of the newer computers and installed it on one of the older ones and it worked fine.

Don't know what would need changed.
