icon Subreport with database location issue

Hi All,

I have a crystal report (version 7) working with VB6. I have added a subreport into it. The main report and the sub report refers to the same MS Access DB that will be generated dynamically when the VB program runs.

The report works well before I adding the subreport. But it produces an error message "Run-time error '20533'". I tried to remove the subreport and then everything works well. I wonder is it related to the database location, but the database location settings are the same as the main report.

Does anybody have idea on this issue? Any comments or advices are highly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.

Best Regards,
Dante

Just a suggestion... before you make a final decision for the database location that can cause an error, try to save your subreport as a new/separate report and run it. It might have other problem that causes the report to error not the database location...

Hi BeAr,

Many thanks for your suggestion. I have just saved the subreport and run it. It works fine.

And I have found a code segment to set the database location for subreport programmatically, however, it does not help.

At this point, I have really no idea on how to solve it...
