Is there any way to detect a hotmail password using winSock control

Hi,
Which computer on the internet are you wishing to snoop?
Why detect a password using winsock instead of mock-up login screens?
So, I am  a client machine.. connecting to a dedicated server (ie. www.hotmail.com) and you wish to intercept this call
the answer is yes, you can, however, you will need to install software on the client machine.
Legit reason for installing software to intercept ms passwords on a foreign machine? (answers on a post-card please)...
