icon help

i don't know where to get help so i came here to see if anyone could answer my question. i have a problem which is that i wanted to upload my photos in a digital cam. i got the program installed into my computer already, just that i couldn't find my "removable disk" and thus i couldn't upload my photos. is it that i do not have the removable disk program or what? help please.

Hi,
Have you got your USB connection plugged in?
What O/S are you running (usually winxp/98 is required)?
Did you follow the installation instructions exactly (many of these things require you to install the software BEFORE plugging in your camera)
Are you running the latest Service Pack for your version of windows?
Is your camera turned on?

If you are happy with the above, I suggest you contact the support centre / company that you bought your camera from.
You could also google for the make and model of your camera and the word "problem", or "XP" or some such.

... and if you have Win98, did you install all correct busmaster/USB controller/other mainboard drivers? (To check that) Have you ever been able to connect to another USB data-sending device, e.g. a pen-drive, an ADSL modem, an USB webcam, a smart cards reader?
