hi guyz.just some brain freeze effect on me,having an affair with my desktop pc and all..see, today, the distribution of pirated software is very much rampant..and well, the prices of the such products are very much sky high..now the question: for you, is there every such justification for the distribution of pirated software? defend it dudes! let's see who gets the loudest cheer!!!

Piracy - well if nobody ever pays for software then nobody ever gets paid for writing it.  
I don't know about you, but I rather like to be paid for my work, it kind of helps pay for food, electric, etc.
Do you think Bill would ever have got past Windows 3.1 if he wasn't getting paid for his work    I doubt it. And whatever you may think of Windows and other Microsoft offerings, they have certainly helped towards a connected World.

Me - I'm against using Pirated Software.

I'm not bothered about pirated software when it is either platform or development software. I think it's the commercial software pirating that could harm the industry.. but then again, exactly how much money are these companies "losing"? How can they measure? If your software is useful, people will buy it, unless it's too expensive. If you are writing software that is too expensive for an individual to buy - your target market is the companies. Companies shouldn't use pirated software and there are companies/laws around to enforce it.
I don't care if 2000 people use my software for free, so long as I reach my target market and make sure that they pay for it.
I liken it to overtime - we don't get paid for it, and are expected to do it, and we get a fixed pay over the year.
