    How to create password in windows 98 without overriding it when you choose to cancel the password screen or press the escape button? thanks

can you please be more specific?is this for login or for the screensavers or anything?

This is for the login of windows 98. It seems that my password is useless because it can be override by pressing the cancel or escape button...

i think that kind of stuff is found in the Registry or the Local Security Policy of the computer.i have never tried that one for myself though,coz the pc i use at home is not mine <solely,that is,it's shared with family>...

try tinkering with the Local Security Policy.i think you can find this control at the Control Panel.you can even make a Messagebox popup before Logging into the OS.have fun goodluck!!!
