Can I know what caused a particular event?
Hi,
I want to know that which program executed a particular event..
Actually, I've got this AdWare in my PC, which opens random websites... I've checked out all the running threads on my system, and found non suspucious... If I just get to know which of the threads/files executes the code to run the websites, i'd delete the file, and install it again....
My Question:
Is there any API to know which program started another program?
Regards

If you are having problems with your browser being hijacked then Spybot is a good FREE program to track down and eliminate the causes. You can download it from http://www.spybot.com

There is also a ProcessGuard that will be of assistance in this situation.

Hi,
Also,
Microsoft Live is free for 30 days recently - this includes a virus-checker, anti-spyware and firewall.
Worth checking out - even if only for the free 30 days.
