icon OPENNING FILES

my program needs to open a file using other application
(e.g. *.gif by paint or photoshop) but i don't know if its
possible, can you help me?

but can u help me more?
what if the file i need to open is in OPEN WITH format? is any solution for this? the program we normally use to open this file is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

You'll have to know WHERE the program is located, the NAME of the executable file, and the FORMAT of passing the program to it as a parameter -- if it's even possible.

Then you'd have to execute that entire thing (path_to_exe\exename /parameter path_to_file\filename)
