Hi,

Let me start off with a little background info on myself.  I am a recent college grad who just landed his first job.  At the job I'm constantly working w/spreadsheets and though that many of these processes could be automated with a macro.  Because of this I was wondering if there were any free guides to learning to program in VBA for excel.  I use to know a little VB5 back in the day.  How similar are the two?  I strongly feel that learning this will be of benefit to my career..

The web is full of VBA resources, just google it. A couple of nice sites are Mr. Excel, John Walkenbach's site and of course this one .

Yes, nearly all VBish langauges are similar but the object models differ. A good way to get acquainted with Excels VBA is to record a few macros and look over the code.
