ok my boss wants me to create a program that will force shutdown a computer on the network.

i am new to networking so i really need help on this to impress my boss.

i have tried to search the forum but it really does confuse me.

but its not working, there are no error messages it just dont do anything,

i have change "mypc" to the computer name of the computer i want to shutdown

whan kind of OS is the computer to want to shut down? It works for Win98 SE, Win NT, Win2000(not sure) and XP SP2 (with other XP versions the function doesn't work: it has been fixed with SP2)

i am using windows xp professional sp2 on all terminals, i came across something on the code you pointed me to, something about the account i am using must have a priveledge on the network computers, how am i suppose to do this?  my network is on workgroup alone.
