Need urgent help --- How would you loop through a table and bind the data to n-number of formula fields to be placed horizontally in a group header?

I'm creating a crystal report that will show status for hierarchically organized business units.  Each business unit will be going through approximately 10 steps.  I want to show the status (using an image outside of the report) to show across the row vs. in the detail section.  The detail section will contain a list of other details linked back to each business unit.  The report will use the hierarchical grouping function.
