is just want to know how to send email without using an SMTP server like smtp.isp.com
i think it is called webbased email but i'm not shure.

You might want to check that your isp supports the CDONTS dll. This can send email from your asp website.

Does ASP not include an inbuilt mail function or anything? If you're just starting off in ASP then i suggest you move to PHP quickish because it has SOOOOOOOOOOO many more features. If you want some more advice on which server to use for testing/using PHP then please contact me.

You basically have to check what your isp supports for E-mail sending. I work as a vb programmer so i prefer to programme in vbscript for asp .. I also do perl when i can ..
I was thinking of having alook at php but not right now .. so much to dooooo!!
