It looks like a marvellous software. I´ll try to do something but maybe I cant prove it cause 240x240.
¿ Its possible change resolution from IgoEditor ?
what do you mean by changing resolution? if you mean to resize and move a skin from a resolution to another it is not supported by iGo Skin Editor at the moment. you can take a different resolution and then edit it to fix a different one by changing bmp images and templates as well. If I remember correctly there is already a tool that tries to convert from a resolution to another, but I don't remember its name.
iGo Skin Editor is capable of opening every skin UI file, render it to screen, edit and save...
Ok. thx. I understand I can take only one resolution size, and then, when finished, by using some photoshop plugin or another similar tool, so now I can change it.
Also I know there is a program called "skin resize tool" I think.
I really like the concept of this program, I am very much a novice when it comes to playing with skins.
I am probably missing the obvious but is it possible to cut/paste or drag/dop Buttons and other elements to move them into different Layers or create a new one based on an existing one?
at the moment it is not yet implemented, but I may add it in a new release. thanks for your feedback and let me know what else you would like to have in a future version...
first off for the efforts on this software, just wondering if you could have an option for screen size. currently when i use your software i adjust the screen size to 800 by 480 and everytime i use it i go thru the same process, thank you and keep up the good work
I have a issue when trying to load one particular skin. it can be found here
When opening a .ui the program seems to lock up and use 96% of the cpu until the program is terminated.
If i delete the .bmp from the skin the .ui will load ok, without the graphics of course. I guess that this is either an issue with a .bmp or just the shear volume of data being loaded with this skin.
Thanks for releasing Igo Skin editor.
I am using this editor to create skins for iGo8 and it very helpfull!
However I have encountered a strange problem.
When I am trying to open few files of the data.zip from the new Nav N Go iGO 8 R3 series - v8.3.4.102680 (Aug 13 2009), the Skin editor stops responding without opening the files.
The link for the new Nav N Go iGO 8 is:
http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=255&t=53127.
The problematic files are:
navigatemap_480_272.ui and setting_480_272.ui
How can I resolve the problem?
Another question please.
Is there a way to compile a skin (SkinName.zip), so it still functions as a skin within iGo8.
I am new in this, please pacinet with me and my english I am Spanish, but when I open any file .ui always fault archives of bmp and not appear correct the screen.
But when I make a test of this skin in GPS all is correct.
It is possible that I need any soft more in my computer is a Wista home.
please take a look at the new version I have released, the problem with your images is that it cannot locate them correctly, look at the red log window in the bottom left corner and you'll see that the application searched the bmp in different paths but didn't find it...
try to locate your bmp to see why it is not included in the search paths...

Thank you very much.
Hi. This is my first post.
The iGo editor is very helpfull program and i help me to create a new skin 800x400 for centrafuse.
During editing i found some issues.
The navigatemap_xxx.ui files has a line as ..
<SLIDER btnCS_Offroute template=sld_lb5a x=50 y=152 z=30 bmp="quick_replan.bmp#2" value="|ASK||AUTO|" var=vAutoReplan>
The problem that crashes the editor is focused on value of "value field". The double || maybe occures a bug.
Please replace the double || with simple | and maybe can edit your ui file.
Thanks again to andreaVb community for this helpfull apllication. It maybe gives me some information to improve my iGoEditor.NET.
